Pooja Bihani

Pooja Bihani, B.Arch, IIA, COA, IIID, is an established and a well known Architect and Interior Designer in Kolkata, West Bengal. She recognised her passion for the field at an early age and pursued the same as she grew up.

Spaces & Design is her living passion. As its Founder and Principal Architect, Pooja Bihani who is a gold medallist from S.P.S.M.B.H’s College of Architecture, Kolhapur, Maharashtra had started her career as a designer with Mr. Sunil Tainwala of Aarteg in the year 2000.

Spaces & Design laid its foundation in the year 2006 in Kolkata and has established itself as a successful Interior and Architecture firm with the capability to execute complete end-to-end turnkey interior projects as well as Architecture.

Pooja is an invited executive core committee member of the prestigious IIID forum (Indian Institute of Interior designers), Kolkata Chapter.

Pooja is also a diligent follower of the school of Pranic Healing and Arhatic Yoga and uses the principles of Pranic FengShui to balance energies and “epitomise harmony” in spaces. She is the current Managing Trustee of the MCKS Pranic Healing Trust, West Bengal that is responsible for the spread of Pranic Healing in West Bengal and is affiliated to the World Pranic Healing Foundation, India and Manila, Philippines.

A keen traveller and photographer from Kolkata, has always drawn her inspiration from the city of joy, Kolkata which has nurtured myriad creativities in different fields. She constantly upgrades her knowledge about the market trends and innovatively integrates the same in her work in all aspects.

The design mantra at Spaces & Design is to “Constantly Innovate “.Another law that guides all its undertakings is the perception of Interior Architecture not just Interior Design. This helps in designing spaces “Inside-out” integrating architecture into interiors and vice versa.

The purpose of Spaces & Design is to create environs that epitomise harmony, aesthetics, and optimum functionality; enriching the life of the user in his habitat. 

In its endeavour to achieve the purpose, Spaces & Design has been recognized by leading forums and industry leaders in the form of various awards and accolades. Some of them are:
